The Labour leadership of Kirklees Council are in total chaos.
- The Labour leader, who was facing a vote of No Confidence, has quit.
- A Labour Councillor has been jailed for perverting the course of justice.
- The Councillor responsible for finances was sacked from his role.
- The Council’s Chief Executive and key Directors are leaving.
This cannot continue for the sake of local council taxpayers and for the hardworking staff at the Council.
Is it now time to split Kirklees and have a new separate council to better focus on local priorities?
